My name's Jamie. I'm a girl and I bake stuff. Food and nature are like my thing...I guess being bitchy is too! I work for a home health care agency that does hospice and elder care. My job makes me sad so I eat a lot of food. food = happy. I love my job and it's an important part of my life. The people I meet and care for have special places in my heart. I'm also an anxious nut. I'm always stressing about something. Baking helps me center myself and by that I mean I like to center myself around cake. I like to eat lots of cake.

I'm a newlywed and learning to cook and bake has been quite the experience for me. It was only two years ago that I cut my finger tip off with a bread knife. I handle knives more carefully now.
This is me and my husband, Tim, on our wedding day. He's probably the funniest guy in the world. This is seriously the only normal picture I have of us.
